Gehaltsrechner β Salary Calculator Tips & Tricks
-
Always enter the full-time salary, not the part-time amount β the calculator multiplies by work percentage automatically. Entering the part-time amount directly would double-reduce it.
-
Use "Suggest vacation days" for new hires β the suggestion considers the employee's age and your company rules, so you do not have to look up the legal minimums yourself. You can always adjust the suggestion before saving.
-
Check the employer cost column too β the calculator shows both the employee and employer share of each deduction. The employer cost column gives you the true total cost of the employee, which is useful for budgeting and client rate calculations.
-
Create a new configuration for any compensation change β do not edit an existing one if the change should take effect on a specific date. Creating a new configuration preserves the history and ensures payroll uses the right values for each period.
-
Review insurance rates at the start of each year β Swiss insurance rates (especially BVG and UVG) can change annually. Update them in Organization > Insurance before running January payroll to ensure all new calculations use the current rates.
